It was founded in 1989 - Company registration No: 149344.

The founders were: Dr Jimmie Parkes, Managing Director and Ms Mary Parkes, Company Secretary.

IET has grown and developed from a company whose main income was from EU RTD contracts and whose main focus was research excellence.
